Tree Surgery

Trees need to be maintained for various reasons, for example they may be close to buildings, may have become weak due to a cavity, may have grown too big for the area, deadwood may be visible and growth abnormalities can cause weak points, to mention a few.

There are various solutions to these problems, which would include:

Crown Thinning

Crown Lifting

Crown Reduction

Dead Wooding

Section Felling

Straight Directional Felling

Crown Thinning

This is the removal of various branches including crossing branches within the canopy.

Crown Lifting

This is the removal of the lower branches so the canopy is lifted up.

Crown Reduction

This is the reduction of the canopy size all round so the tree keeps a natural balance and appearance, when this work is carried out the tree is cut to growing points to keep the tree in good condition for the future.

Dead Wooding

This is the removal of dead branches from the tree as they can be a danger usually falling to the ground in high winds causing damage to property, cars and pedestrians etc.

Section Felling

This is where a trained professional will climb the tree with a safety harness and various ropes and cut sections off until the tree is down to ground level.

Straight Felling

This is where there is adequate space for the tree to be directionaly felled at ground level by a fully trained professional, using specialist equipment.

Please note tree work described above should only be undertaken by fully trained and insured professionals.

Planting

We also offer a tree planting service, if you let us know the type of tree you would like, or advice on a suitable tree. We can then arrange to collect it and plant it for you in a suitable place where it will do well and give you years of enjoyment!!!

Green Waste

All cuttings are fed through a wood chipping machine and taken away from the job, but you are more than welcome to keep all or just part of the chippings created to use around your garden or site.

Health & Safety

We are always commited to health and safety and have an excellent record to date, all our chainsaw operatives are fully trained in the work they carry out and are also trained in first aid, we also wear the necessary chainsaw protective clothing along with helmets, visors, earmuffs and gloves and have the training to use the machinery necessary to do the job in hand.
